Hopi Indian Spirit Messengers Piloting UFOs?
The Flying Shields of the Hopi Kachinas
Ancient flying machines have long been a tradition of many cultures across the globe. Venerable Hindu texts such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata describe airships called Vamanas that were even used for battle. Among the hieroglyphs on the wall of a 3,000 year-old Egyptian temple at Abydos are depictions of what appear to be modern airplanes and helicopters. Grooved stone discs found in caves on the Chinese-Tibetan border tell of an extraterrestrial race called the Dropas whose spacecraft fell to Earth 12,000 years ago.
The Hopi Indians have inhabited three large mesas in northern Arizona for over a thousand years. Their legends also refer to aerial vehicles, perhaps from Orion.
These magical flying shields called paatuwvota existed in the Third World, a previous epoch destroyed by an immense flood. This was a time when great cities and trade routes were built, and civilization was flourishing. In an address delivered to the United Nations, Thomas Banyacya of the Hopi Coyote Clan said: "The people invented many machines and conveniences of high technology, some of which have not yet been seen in this age." We, of course, recognize this startling description as echoing Atlantis.

Nabta Playa Vandalized
The Oldest and Most Important Astronomical Site in the World Vandalized: Neo-Barbarians at Nabta Playa, Egypt
About one hundred miles west of Aswan in the Sahara Desert lay an archaeological site called Nabta Playa. Only ten to eleven feet in diameter, this megalithic calendar circle has a north/south line-of-sight as well as a summer solstice sunrise alignment. According to former NASA physicist Thomas G. Brophy, Ph.D., three stones inside the circle mirror the pattern of Orion’s belt at the meridian for this season during the period 6400 to 4900 B.C. Three other interior stones represent the shoulders and head of the constellation for the astoundingly early date of 16,500 B.C.
Another set of megaliths south of the circle align to the vernal equinox heliacal rising in 6300 B.C. of six of key stars of Orion: Alnitak, Alnilam, Mintaka (the belt), Betelgeuse, Bellatrix (the shoulders), and Meissa (the head). This vernal equinox heliacal rising happens only once per precessional cycle (25,920 years).
Even more astonishing is the fact that some of these megaliths are arranged proportionally to correspond to the physical distance from Earth of each of the aforementioned stars except Meissa. In addition, other megaliths in this group are arranged proportionally to correspond to the same stars’ radial velocity, or the speeds at which these stars are moving away from us.
“The companion megaliths in each distance alignment match corresponding megaliths in each velocity alignment in such a way as to fit the physics of orbital motion, and thus probably represent actual companion objects to the six primary stars. Meaning: The designers of the megaliths had a basic understanding of physics, and knowledge of astronomy that rivaled or surpassed ours today.” [Thomas G. Brophy, Ph.D., The Origin Map: Discovery of a Prehistoric, Megalithic Astrophysical Map and Sculpture of the Universe, Writers Club Press/iUniverse, New York/Lincoln, Nebraska, 2002, p. 104]
Is this the Blue Star of Hopi Prophecy or Just a NASA Superhype?
For some, NASA’s announcement on May 14, 2008, was a major disappointment. Before the news conference Enterprise Mission’s director Richard C. Hoagland speculated that NASA would finally confirm the existence of an exoplanet. UFO researcher Paola Harris even believed, wishfully perhaps, that the agency would disclose the discovery of alien artifacts. After all, NASA’s own website had touted the finding as “…an object in our Galaxy astronomers have been hunting for more than 50 years.”
What NASA actually found was prosaically named G1.9+0.3. This supernova exploded only about 140 years ago near the center of our Milky Way Galaxy 26,000 light-years away. The star’s demise nevertheless remained undetected by optical telescopes because it had been obscured by a dense mass of gas and dust. The remnant of the blast, however, could be seen by both the Chandra telescope, which is an X-ray observatory in orbit, and the Very Large Array (VLA), a Y-shaped configuration of 27 radio telescopes in New Mexico.
Besides being the youngest supernova ever found in our own spiral galaxy, G1.9 had some unusual properties. “The high expansion velocities and extreme particle energies that have been generated are unprecedented and should stimulate deeper studies of the object with Chandra and the Very Large Array.” http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/chandra/news/08-062.html
MUFON in Sedona
In case anyone out there is in the Sedona, Arizona area, I will be giving a talk called "Star Visions of the American Southwest" at the Sedona MUFON meeting on Friday, May 16, 7 p.m.
Meeting Hall: 100 Arroyo Pinon, West Sedona

The Ant People of the Hopi

All across the American Southwest we find petroglyphs (rock carvings) or pictographs (rock paintings) depicting entities with spindly bodies, large eyes, and bulbous heads that sometimes project antennae. These eerie figures are frequently shown in a “prayer stance,” their elbows and knees positioned at right angles, similar to the ant’s bent legs.
Do these rock drawings represent a race of Ant People? Do they actually record ancient encounters between humans and an alien species? Are the creatures truly “alien,” like those of the 1947 UFO crash near Roswell, New Mexico? Or are they some cryptobiological anomaly native to our planet? If not, then are they merely psychological manifestations-- creations of the collective unconscious?
