Hi Nancy,

I just bought your UFO magazine for the second time. I am enjoying it. I got hooked on UFO mania after reading Mike Heiser's book, The Facade. Of course I have never seen one despite the fact of staring at the sky for years and years.

Why don't you have a 'Letters To The Editor' section for your readers? I have a comment to

make on the article about the two men who wrote the book, The Orb Project. I love reading about the paranormal and I am an open-minded person but I find the "orb thing"

hard to believe. The results of a controlled experiment which in my opinion pretty much debunks the orb thing can be found on this web page.

Also what happened to UFO Hunters on the History channel? I was totally hooked and then

they just stopped showing it.

The CARET hoax was done on the cheap. As you say, creation of a quality font is something that graphic designers are paid tens of thousands of dollars for. That is why the hoaxer(s) cheaped out by modifying a katakana font. It was stupid of them not to realize that, even among white people only and excluding native speakers, many of them are familiar with "exotic" languages and their scripts. At least it would have been a better shot to use Burmese or Khmer or Amharic or something like that which is really obscure. They could at least have found something which is not in Unicode. I am a professional Japanese translator, and I assure you, the similarity (or rather identity) is unmistakable. At least six of the CARET characters are identical to those of certain types of katakana font commonly used, and the other characters are obvious modifications thereof. It is not just the direction of the lines but also their thickness and the way the thickness changes along the lines, which is intended to give the nostalgic feel of the original brush strokes when Japanese writing was done with a bamboo brush. It is absolutely incontrovertible. I have no doubt that a Japanese typographer could tell you the actual name of the font that has been copied. Which is probably copyright, but no matter.

I am pleased to see new authors and commentators with their open minds, who are willing to thoughtfully state their observations and speculations without mixing them up or in any way denigrating any of the full of spectrum of readers.

Along with other new authors appearing in UFO Magazine in recent months, your contribution upgrades the magazine. Again, thanks a lot.

Good day,
I have what I feel is a great question where I may have an opinion or two... The question is this, Does anyone have a feeling that were
going to find out if were alone or not with in the next very few years ? My personal feeling is lets say by 2012 AD... Now personally I'm a no body but I do pay attention to what is going on with in the world... Now there are a great deal of opinions coming out of the wood work on the date listed above. Now I'm very curious to know what opinions all of you may have! Ok I will let you in on a small part of mine...
I do feel that by 2012 we will be finding out a whole bunch of mysteries to date... And I have but two words to say; Alien Visitation!
Maybe I'm Wrong? What do you think?

Nancy, Bill, and UFO Team,

So I am sure that there is going to be a whole slew of new readers with the success of UFO Hunters, all the Larry King stuff in the last year, and most recently the Edgar Mitchel story. I would like to consider myself someone whom takes the subject seriously. While I am not a novice I am certainly not an expert either. I've been interested in this field for almost 7 years now. For one it is important to applaud this magazine for showing a wide view and perspective of UFOs and what they are and WHO they are. I was VERY excited to see the Jordon Maxwell article in issue #145. Like many readers of UFO magazine we all are usually into other esoteric areas as well. One only study UFOs for a small amount of time before you see the connections from JFK, 9/11, to Magick and the Occult. Jordan Maxwell is a man who needs more recognition and praise. It is great to see you covering areas that are connected to UFO's but no necessarily about UFO's. I hope that there is more in store for not only Mr. Maxwell but others like him such as David Icke and Michael Tsarion. While Jordan Maxwell may think that the magic of Hollywood is something deeper and more sinister we have to keep our shoulders balanced and get the other side too!. This is exactly what Jeremy Vaeni did in this months "Vaenian Abductions" column. He totally played devils advocate and says "what if these directors aren't in some secret but just genuinely interested! No Tricks, No Secret Handshakes, just guys into UFO folklore. I personally am somewhere in the middle as there are obvious schemes and secret agendas being played out by media corporations, but this doesn't mean Spielberg is in on it!!!!! One more honorable mention is what has become my favorite column in the magazine "Outside The Box"... I have to praise Mike Good and say that his column is the one I look forward to more so than anyone else. He does an amazing job of making UFOs and it's followers to not sound so..well Out There!

Dear UFO Magazine,

From my years of reading your publication and many other books on the subject, what I’ve gathered about UFO’s is the following (please check me out on this):

Most of the information made available to the public about UFOs is actually dis-information, planted by secret shadow government(s). Furthermore, most of the extraterrestrial events (horrifying abductions, cattle mutilation, etc.) are actually phony staged events, carried out by this shadow government, using mind control and advanced technologies developed by back-engineering alien spacecraft captured as far back as the 1940s.

The purpose for this subterfuge is to put so much scary information out there that the general public will come to regard anything from outer space as something to fear.

Then when enough horrifying, convincing ET events have been staged, the shadow governments will declare that the only way to defend Earth from alien invasion is to unite all nations under a “One World Government” and to place weaponry in space (which is what they’ve wanted all along).

The public will be so panic-stricken at that point that they’ll cry en masse, “Yes! Do whatever’s necessary to protect us!”

And, ironically, those participating in the current disinformation programs -- the ones feverishly getting all the UFO stories out to the public -- are unaware that they are being duped and used to deceive the masses.

Finally, in broad general terms, it could be said that if the ET experience is a positive one, it’s real. If it’s a negative, scary one, it’s phony.

Parallels between Podkletnov's work and UFO propulsion?

Hi,

I noticed that many UFO sighting reports, dating back to the 1940s-1950s, mention rotating components on the UFO, such as a rotating ring at the circumference. It would be interesting to look further into possible parallels with Podkletnov's claims about gravity effects of rotating superconductors..

When I was about 5 or 6 years old my grandmother had 20 acres of land in Yuma, AZ. Ten acres was a trailer park and the other 10 was an empty flat piece of land. I was out in the middle of the empty 10 acre lot when I saw a disk flying east it stopped backed up to the west and then came straight at me. The next thing I remember is standing next to a 3ft by 4ft approx. square of red stuff. I stepped into it and looked down at it hard. as my eyes focused on the matter I saw that it was thousnads and thousands of dead red ants. perfectly square or rectangular what i mean is it had perfectly straight edges and was absolutely solid with dead ants.

I ran back to my grandmas house where my parents and everyone where in a panic asking me where i had been. They said they were looking for me for 2 hours calling my name and scouring the land. As far as I remember I never left the barren half of the acreage so if they had come out there calling for me there is no way I wouldn't have heard them. I believe I was abducted and when they dropped me back off I was teleported down with the dead ants which must have been some sort of experiment they had done.

Another time I was with some friends four wheeling in the mud after a heavy rain we were tearing up some freshly built house pads when we got stuck we dug and dug for hours trying to get out. The owner of the truck went to get his other truck to try and pull it out and I stayed with one other guy to watch the truck so no one looted it. we were searching for dry bushes to start a fire when movement caught my eye on the horizon. I saw something coming at me from about 10 miles away it was just a dot at first then as it approached I clearly saw that it was a round disk it wobbled left and shot right straightened out and then wobbeled away from me and then shot right over my head I could have thrown a rock and hit it. The city lights from below ( we were up on a hill above the city) shined on the bottom of the craft. Absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it was a round disk shaped object that covered over 10 miles making two right angle turns in less then one second. from the time I very first saw it to the time it flew over me and out of sight was less then one second and it easily covered 10 miles and made two right angle turns. I wanted to yell at my friend to look but I was frozen in awe and literally couldn't move for about 15-20 seconds. then I thought if I tell him now he's not going to believe me so I never told anybody.

If humanity is capable of ending greed, violence, envy and the desire to dominate then there is hope for an expanding universe. It is a known fact among the enlightened that the only human method of dealing with beings that are consumed by these vices is to contain them, marginalize them and reduce them to a place of irrelevance in the course of existence. That is exactly what has happened to the occupants of this planet we call earth.

Those in the universe who have attained a level of development that removed all of these ills from their existence have isolated us and reduced our participation to that of observers. If a species understands the essence of peace and universal truths they have successfully marginalized those in their realm of existence to a point where their action will not damage the wellbeing of others. Because we persist as a race to wage conflict and do evils to others we have been the ones that are marginalized. Few of us recognize how isolated we have become. If there are millions of galaxies and thousands of planets within those galaxies and we perceive ourselves as the only casein beings here then we are truly confused.

If we were to begin to remove from our existence all things that cause aggression, perversion, and suffering then we might begin to see past our own self righteous delusion. If we can establish an equitable level of existence and sustenance for all of our inhabitants we would be taking the first step towards Peace.

So many perceive this as communism or socialism, in fact it is true democracy. All equal under the law of man and nature. To expand upon this point, if food, shelter, and the pursuit of happiness are met for all peoples then there should be no need for the pursuit of personal wealth. All progress made would be equally shared among all. A method of dispersing services and resources to all is a requirement for this to be functional.
