This sighting sounds like what I witnessed at Langley AFB Va in 1964 or 65. The base alert sirens went off and fighters were scrambled. I saw the bright sphereical shaped object while walking back the the barracks in the early evening. The thing was gleeming from the setting sun shining on it. It was east of the base just to the right of the runway over the ocean. For several days after the incident pilots and officers that I drove for in my staff car talked about it. They said in left so fast that it was like a mirage. They estimated the speed was 17,000 mph. Langley was testing the Lunar Lander at that time. They probably wanted to see what was going on. What can I tell you, they come and go at will. We can't compete or interfere with that kind of technology.
Great show. UFO Hunters and this website is exactly what we need. Communication is the ticket. I hope someone at Langley at that time sees my post and contacts me.
Hi, Earthman,
If someone from Langley does contact you, I hope you let us know so we can follow up on the investigation.
There have been so many UFO incursions over USAF bases that you can almost compile a book on them. But I believe that whatever is going on is way above the security clearance of a base command, which is why these reports simply seem to disappear after they've been filed.
Will let you know if I hear anything for sure. I am getting to understand this blog system. I answered your email this morning. I now understand I should have come here to reply.
There was an awesome sighting at Kirtland AFB in 1980. One of the military reports is here - http://www.totse.com/en/fringe/government_ufo_coverups/ufos11.html
Greg Bishop goes into in his book Project Beta and I thought there was a longer report, but I am not finding it on the internet.
Hi everyone, I have never observed a UFO but my wife said at age 14 her and her cousin saw something that frightened them enough to cause them to run! She said it was silent but was moving toward them with multiple lights and this was in the daylight! While running she looked back to see nothing, it vanished! This was down in Carizzo Springs, Tx.

It does seem that Military Bases have more than their share of activity. I grew up not far from Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson,Az. home of the Titan missiles at that time. I made many excursions into the Southern Arizona desert to prospect and hunt, but I don't really recall seeing anything in the night. But maybe someday. Everyone take care.

I thought last nights episode was one of the best (if not the best) episode of UFO Hunters so far.
I thought the audio and eyewitness testimony was amazing!
