The Hunter's Wife

click to expand! It is with a heavy heart that I announce the wonderful and happy news -- the guys are going back on the road for season two of UFO Hunters. yay. golf clap. Oh boy, yippie hippy shake.
It's hard to see them go, let me tell you. It's hard to pick up all the extra work on the magazine that first Pat, and then Bill, will be leaving behind. I do get jealous when I hear about all the glamorous places they've been, including and most amazingly, Stonehenge in the evening and Stonehenge in the dewy dawn. Lucky guys.
Right now, we won't go into the show's genesis (it was my idea) because we're looking to the future and hoping for some good hunting. For now, we're packing up the duffels and trying to spend some quality time together before the traveling begins. For now, I just want to take a breath and reflect on how incredible and wonderful it's been to have UFO Hunters in my life.
I'm hoping to convince Pat and Ted to blog here if they are able; if not, I will fill in with lots of behind-the-scene photos from the first season, like this one. If it's OK with the network, I'll identify the characters; if that's not OK, I'll just tell you that the guys surrounding Pat and Bill are the guys who fix the sound and actually film the show.
They are the hardworking folks you never see, and it always amazes me that when you're watching a video of the perfect wave curling over a surfer's head or you're free-falling with a snowboarder on an extreme mountain slope ... remember that there's also a crazy camera guy and/or sound guy doing the same thing, but while clutching valuable equipment.
It's what they always said about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers: sure, he was a good dancer, but she did everything he did, except backwards and in high heels. There's a moral here, Mr. Big Shots.

I never heard that quote about Ginger Rogers before, but I love it!
Hi Nancy, It looks like they are having too much fun to me. Maybe they should trade out jobs with you and the other gals and let y'all chase the UFO's instead! I bet it is fun to travel like they do and see a lot of neat places. I wonder what they thought of Stephenville,Tx.? I am about a 100 miles West of there. Ok Nancy take care and your doing a great job! Dah Dit Dah
