All the Proof You Need

For awhile now I've been wanting to elaborate a bit on something I said in my post “Some Thoughts and Facts About the UFO Phenomenon.”.

In thought number two I said “The best evidence that the government is covering up UFO matters is that they can never say 'We don’t know what it is.'” My reasoning for saying that is rather logical in my opinion because if the government did not know what UFOs were, then why would they always come up with some sort of “logical” explanation for the big UFO events like the Phoenix Lights. “Yeah, um we made mistake in our books and um...the lights on the 13th were flares from A-10s practicing well beyond where the Lights were.” (Well, ok they didn't exactly say it that way, but more or less...)

An even better example of this is the Air Force's attempts at trying to get people to stop looking into Roswell, which let's face it, is where all the lousy explanations started. Aside from naming two unrelated programs (Mogul and Highdive) that occurred years apart as being the culprits for the “saucer” and “victims”, the simple fact that they even tried to provide such a detailed explanation to get the public off their back shows that they are hiding something. If it was really a weather balloon like the claimed in 1947 after originally claiming it was a saucer, why would they need to prove anything to us? Why not stick with the explanation and call it good as opposed to going into elaborate details on two rather boring projects? Whether or not a saucer and bodies were retrieved there, I don't know, but either way their excuses I think prove they're hiding something they don't want us to know about Roswell.

My point is that all the proof you need that the government is hiding something is the fact they keep trying to explain it all away. They can't sit back and stick with the simple story, nor can they ever be content with saying “We don't know what it was.”, which in many cases they probably didn't, and were just to afraid to admit it.

Proof is evidence accepted as proof, eh? There are those who would contrive to deny if EBE squatted on their chest and shat a hyper-drive. Am I right?

Indeed. To them, it's all a matter of what is in their best interests. Whether it's not wanting to embarrass themselves, or keeping the current "power structures" intact. So if it serves their purposes, they'll deny the existence of aliens even if they're parked on the front lawn.

It's a courage thing, eh?

Jerry Clark talks about a "toxic ufology" forcing real science onto "secret colleges" of investigation, when it is attempted at all, based on the fear of "career death" to pursue research into UFOs. But isn't it really more of not having the courage to demand such of what "the truth" is and contenting yourself instead with untruth out of mere personal convenience?

Condon: scientific pragmatism? No. Condon: cowardice of convenience.

Great points Naveed!

And with a complicit corporate mainstream press that wastes time regurgitating the old right vs.left political paradigm; no journalist (if he/she wants a career) will seriously question nor investigate the evidence for UFOs. So, the deniers have it made.

Right! Cowardice as infectious and transmittable as swine flu!
